For Birthday Cards
I have to make two birthday cards today so have chosen photos to make traditional matted cards.
The rose photo was taken in the garden a while ago and the Protea is a copy of a photo taken in 1997 in Cape Town. I bought a large bunch of protea from a flower seller on Table Mountain.
We were visiting John's twin brother who lived there for many years, sadly he died last year.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen Protea before. Does it grow in your garden?
It is a Wow! plant - photo was taken in South Africa - the only ones growing here in UK are at Kew Gardens I think! Connie.
Beautiful rose as well - I bet that one smells like a proper rose, too!
oh Connie, I love the rose, but the first (I did not know this flower before) is so very very nice. This will be happy people to get some cards of this pictures!
have a nice day - Veri
PS: yes, I found the award and will take it this evening! many thanks for this wonderfl surprise
